Welcome to Hilltop's Guitar Class!This Class will be focusing on Beginner Skills; no experience is required to take part in the class
We will be using a 6 String Acoustic Guitar, but you are welcome to practice on a classical or electric guitar. The lessons may not apply if you only have a bass guitar, ukulele, or other stringed instrument.
The class will focus on learning the basic chords, as well as how to read guitar tabs, and how to play simple children songs and pop songs.
The classes will be in person at Hilltop Recreation Center at 9711 Oviedo Way, San Diego, CA 92129. Classes are a half an hour.
We ask that each person register under their own Sdrecconect.com account so we can have an accurate participation count. An email will be sent with further details after registration. Please make sure that each student has their most up to date e-mail address on their account. This is how we will communicate information and updates.
Equipment Needed:
- Guitar
- Internet Connection (if you decide to do the virtual classes)
- Camera
- Microphone capabilities
- Capo - Tool to change pitch
- Guitar Tuner or Tuning App (Please try to make sure that your guitar is in tune prior to the lessons, it will save a lot of time)
