Start your summer with a private pool party in Mission Beach. Enjoy the non-stop fun from an inflatable obstacle course, basketball hoop, heated pool, and games with a great beach view. Bring any swim supplies you need (towel, goggles, etc...) Don't forget a change of clothes. Dinner provided in the cost. Drop-off at the round-a-bout next to Hamels (700 Ventura Place, 92109). The Summer Nights program is for Independent Club members. The group is for adults with a cognitive impairment. It is designed to increase leisure independence, community functioning and build social skills through experiential opportunities within the community and at recreation centers. Register early, space is limited. Must have assessment of file prior to attending the outing. The City of San Diego, Parks and Recreation Department, Therapeutic Recreation Services, provides therapeutic programs for children and adults with any type of disability. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) work with participants on social and recreational skill development, leisure education, appropriate behavior, and recreation participation in inclusive environments.
