COMPLETING THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU How to set up a plan, organize, and present the NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Course WHO IS THE COURSE FOR Sportsmen desiring an NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor certification to teach people who want to safely own and use their firearms. PREREQUISITES: 1. Be an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor 2. Be an NRA Certified Personal Protection In The Home Instructor 3. Complete the Pre-course Questionnaire 4. Completed the PPOTH (14-hour Advanced) and PPOTHI exams with a 90% or better --NRA Basic Pistol Instructor (BPI) Candidates shall complete ALL three items: 1: The Instructor Led Training (ILT) training Personal Protection Outside The Home. This is listed in the P³TC Course Catalog. 2: Basic Instructor Training (BIT) (Part 1), Completed within the past two years. 3: The BPI discipline (Part 2)*(This course) The Pre-course Qualification is conducted prior to or during the course. Only those candidates who pass and meet other specified requirements for NRA instructors are eligible for certification.
