Drills/Beginner/Social Pickleball (Highland Park)
Highland Park Community Center 1978 Ford Pkwy Saint Paul, MN 55116 Organized by Saint Paul Parks and RecreationAbout this event
Description
*NO SESSIONS ON NON SCHOOL DAYS! Listed at bottom of page*
The court closest to the door will be available for drill specific activities when desired. There is a paddle saddle and laminated sheets with drills near that court. People of any skill level may practice drills. The other two courts will be regular open play for beginner/social games.
Beginner/Social sessions are specifically for beginners to learn the sport with other beginners as well as intermediate or advanced players who enjoy the more chill vibe of Beginner/Social pickleball setting.
There will not be a staff member on hand during these sessions to teach new players how to play. New or beginner players are encouraged to ask others for support. No one is too inexperienced to come play with us!
The gym must be cleared with all the equipment put away and players gone by 2:30pm to respect programming that begins precisely at 2:30pm.
Pickleball is a paddle sport which uses elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. At Highland, we currently play on courts set up in our gymnasium. The sport is played on a badminton sized court with a pickleball net. The game is played with a paddle and plastic balls. Paddles may be checked out for use at no charge.
