The 1st annual Dino Days Jamboree 5K race takes place on a scenic, point-to-point course during the peak of autumn. It starts on the corner of Walnut & Vernon in Glen Rose, Texas and will wind through neighborhoods along the Paluxy River until you reach the Sonic back entrance and then work your way back to the Square.   The event includes a t-shirt delivered on day of race, and after the event join us for the DINO STAMPEDE which is a run around the square while in anything DINOSAUR.  Dress Up for this 2nd race or just use your 5K shirt and keep the legs pumping.  This kicks off the remainder of DINO DAYS JAMBOREE where their will be live music, food and retail vendors, and on Sunday a DINO DUCK DERBY in the river!   Extra funds for this event are being directed to the City of Glen Rose Pedestrian Bridge to be built across the Paluxy River joining a the Stephen Gibbs/Heritage Park with the Downtown Square.

Event details and schedule

Parking will be available all around the outer parking lots near the square.,  Registration Table will be located at the OLD CITY Hall at 201 NE Vernon Street.

The race start is at the corner of Vernon & Walnut.  You will follow Vernon to Mustang Street and turn right,.  From there you will take Mustang towards the river crossing Barnard St and make the left at Grace Street.  From Grace, you will run along the river until it crosses back over Barnard St just before Shepard St - this is a 1% include you will run up to reach Holden/College St and turn right again.  Where College deadends at State Highway 144, you will run across 144 to reach the Old Hwy 67/Van Zandt St.  Following Van Zandt until you reach Sonic Park/Sonic Drive-In.,  This will be a rest break with water and bathrooms available) before you reserve course back to the Square.
