On Cloudstratus

On Cloudstratus

The On Cloudstratus feels great on both long runs and when transitioning to a bootcamp-style workout. You can even lace it up for your next race. However, our testers note that it isn't the best for speed work due to its slightly bulkier design. The cushioning held up great for several consecutive hours of workouts, and the shoe is rugged enough to perform well while still looking great after a rainy, muddy event.

While a bit stiff out of the box, the tradeoff is that the cushioning truly allows the Cloudstratus to ride like a dream. The lacing system does make it a bit difficult to put on and take off, but it also creates a highly customizable system, allowing you to fine-tune the snugness and style to your preferences. The toe-box has a wide construction, and our tester noticed his toes begging to splay and grip the road, giving him more of a spring in his running stride.

"Prior to testing these shoes, I was ready to move on from On Cloud, but the Cloudstratus has definitely changed my mind and I would consider this style again for my daily run and cross training workouts." — Trey, half marathon finisher

361 Sensation

361 Sensation 4

The Sensation 4 is a pronator's dream thanks to the anti-pronation features incorporated—a carbon fiber shank for stiffness to name one. But our testers' favorite feature had to be the upper. The Pressure Free Tongue and collar cushioning are staples of many 361 shoes, but the lightweight and seamless "double jacquard mesh" sets the Sensation 4 apart, providing maximum ventilation and comfort.

However, probably the most unique feature is the MORPHIT Sleeve that elevates the interior fit; when you tighten the mid laces, the inner sleeve tightens, too. The Sensation 4 is stable and supportive where you need it yet also form fitting to many different foot shapes.

"This shoe is perfect for my easy runs when I need a little more stability but the same amount of comfort as my other options." — Elizabeth, half marathon finisher
