Diadora Launches Their Fastest Road Racing Shoe

Today, Diadora, the Italian sport brand, announces the launch of the Gara Carbon 3, their fastest road racing shoe to date. Engineered for ultimate performance, Gara Carbon’s innovative design improves running economy and reduces muscle fatigue to unlock athletes’ fullest potential.

Developed by Diadora’s Italy-based product team, Gara Carbon 3 has been thoughtfully refined for increased responsiveness, reduced weight and improved forefoot fit. The result is a fast, stable, and efficient ride. Weighing in at 205g/7 oz with an energy return of 85%, Gara Carbon 3 stands out for its high reactivity and propulsion. The shoe’s improved running economy is powered equally by Diadora’s updated ANIMA PBX midsole and curved LEVA carbon plate. Forefoot wings and asymmetrical heel geometry deliver superior stability, while the upper is streamlined for a track-inspired look.

HERO MIDSOLE TECHNOLOGY

ANIMA PBX: Diadora’s most advanced compound in terms of energy return has been updated to meet the runners’ need for a competition-grade shoe with unmatched responsiveness, contributing to superior overall running economy. This season’s enhanced ANIMA PBX formula evolves for weight, responsiveness and control. The increased density of the compound - now 0.9 g/cm3, compared to the previous 0.15 g/cm3 - provides a firmer, more supportive base that minimizes excessive deformation during foot strike. This increases durability and optimizes energy return, which has improved 5% from Gara Carbon 2, for a total responsiveness of 85%. Additionally, the weight of the shoe has been reduced by 20gr.

LEVA Carbon: Diadora’s 100% carbon fiber plate is the most efficient on the market. Developed for maximum curvature, it is high in the heel and toe spring, low on the forefoot. Located above the midsole, the plate is embedded in thermosetting resin and extends throughout the length of the shoe, stiffening the sole to prevent energy dissipation.
