Chocolate Peanut Butter Power Balls for Busy Runners

Written by
These little guys are called power balls for a reason. Packed with energy, fiber and protein, these spheres of deliciousness are the perfect alternative to processed energy bars and snacks. We added in flax seed for a nice dose of omega fatty acids and kept the added sugar low.

Besides the nutritional value of these fun snacks, there is another bonus: time. If you have the ingredients in your pantry, they take under 20 minutes to make. Just follow these simple steps to make some balls of your own.
Ingredients:
1 of 4
1 cup (dry) oatmeal
1/3 cup toasted unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup flax seed, ground
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (#protip replace chocolate with chocolate protein powder for a kick!)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How to Make 'Em:
