Let’s face it: Running isn’t always the most glamorous of sports. Most of us spend our early mornings or evenings sweaty, out of breath and beet red in the face as we push our bodies to the limit. And though we may feel like we deserve a medal for our efforts, the reality is that the majority of us will never win prizes or notoriety for our struggles.

However, in these scarce moments, we’ve been really glad we are runners:
