Paid Educator Externship Opportunity • Participate alongside students as an active learner in this immersive camp experience • Observe technical and employability skill development through an educator lens • Support student engagement and general safety during camp activities • Earn a $150/day stipend and SCECHs upon completion of externship requirements Surveying & GIS Camp Experience Discover how land, structures, and environments are measured, mapped, and analyzed in this technology-rich camp experience. Participants will work with surveying tools, mapping equipment, and geospatial technology while exploring how precision data is collected and used in construction, engineering, land management, and environmental planning. Educator Career Connection Educators will gain firsthand understanding of geospatial careers, field data collection, mapping technology, and real-world applications of mathematics, geography, engineering, and environmental science—providing exciting examples of future-ready STEM learning. No prior surveying or GIS experience is required—only a willingness to participate, learn, and explore real-world applications. Educator Externship Registration Guidelines To ensure equitable access across the region, educators are asked to limit initial registration to two externship opportunities during the first two weeks of enrollment. Remaining openings will then be available for additional registrations.
