Participants will program Adafruit Circuit Playground Express boards while exploring coding concepts, sensors, switches, lights, sound, and interactive design. Through projects such as games, mini light shows, and physical computing challenges, campers will discover how coding can be used to make devices respond, interact, and come to life. Educator Career Connection This externship offers educators firsthand experience with computer science concepts, physical computing, coding logic, and technology integration while providing practical ideas for bringing interactive STEM projects, beginner programming, and maker-centered learning into the classroom or afterschool setting. No prior coding or computer science experience is required—only a willingness to participate, learn, and explore real-world applications. Educator Externship Registration Guidelines To ensure equitable access across the region, educators are asked to limit initial registration to two externship opportunities during the first two weeks of enrollment. Remaining openings will then be available for additional registrations.
