Description
Start your morning with a delicious cup of bird-friendly coffee and a light treat as we welcome spring migration! After a brief introduction, we’ll explore the trails at Isle a la Cache in search of colorful warblers heading north. Then join Greg DuBois for an engaging talk on how the coffee we drink can help protect migratory birds through the Smithsonian Bird Friendly certified coffee program. Bring your binoculars and favorite mug and discover how small choices can make a big difference.
DuBois is the vice president and program director for the Will County Audubon Society. He guides birding tours at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie and for Illinois Audubon Society’s annual adventure series. His latest contribution to the quarterly Illinois Audubon Magazine is a photo essay from his 2024 bird photography tour in Cuba. The museum is an accessible facility. The hike will be less than 0.5 miles over limestone and paved trails and natural surfaces.
