Description

Enjoy a little history as you paddle with certified instructors along the Des Plaines River. Discover the stories of voyageurs and early Isle a la Cache residents who traveled the river roads before us. Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. This is a recreational program with upstream paddling. It is not an instructional paddling program, and previous kayaking experience is required. All equipment is provided, including personal floatation devices. The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot.
