This is a free workshop for ages 13+.
The workshop is based on a current art exhibit now on display at the Maria V. Howard Arts Center: Painted Voices of Our Community Expressive Art Tunnel Installation.Join us for an innovative mental health experience that uses the powerful voices of hip hop artists like NF, Kendrick Lamar, Logic, and J. Cole to spark real conversations about depression, suicide prevention, and finding hope. Through interactive gameplay and carefully curated music, participants explore themes of resilience while building community and breaking down mental health stigma in a safe, culturally responsive space. This free program is perfect for youth, young adults, and anyone who connects with hip hop's authentic storytelling about overcoming struggle.
