Professional ceramic artist Randy Fein leads you on a creative journey into the world of clay. Both new and returning students are welcome to explore the art of creating pottery and imaginative clay sculpture. You'll learn basic skills on the potter's wheel and how to hand-build unique clay serving ware including decorative platters, bowls, drinking vessels, and more. Each class builds on the other, so it's advised to attend all classes. Course fee includes clay and a wide variety of mid-range, cone 6 glazes to complete your pottery. Class skips 11/10, 11/12, 11/24, and 11/26. Instructor Randy Fein is an award-winning ceramic artist. She has found her way with clay for more than forty years, producing original one-of-a-kind pottery, commissioned tile installations, and clay sculptures. She has conducted over 100 artist-in-resident programs in public schools throughout Maine and has taught at Unity College in Maine; Castleton State College in Vermont; and Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
