Beginner embroiderers: come review and improve your skills! Each week will introduce new stitches (STEM stitch, CHAIN stitch, FLY stitch, SPLIT stitch, SATIN stitch, CROSS stitch and FRENCH KNOT), offer a variety of embroidery threads to use, provide illustrated instructions; and include practice time and one-on-one instruction. All students will receive fabric, embroidery needles, a supply of DMC brand threads; hoops and scissors will be available for in-class use. Personal project questions welcomed. Instructor Susan Hill is a career visual artist; she works in graphic design, collage, and textiles, and has a special love for community arts, storytelling, and teaching/creating with others.
