Looking to add hand tool skills to your woodworking knowledge? Power tools are great but learning how to sharpen and use chisels and a handsaw to cut a set of dovetails or a mortise-and-tenon joint will set your creations apart. Each student will build a small, wall-hung shelving unit— learning how to plan out a project, create and maintain a sharp cutting edge on chisels and hand planes, and layout/ cut dovetail and mortise-and-tenon joints. You must have taken Libby’s prior class in basic power tools or have comparable experience in order to take this class.
