About this event
Professional ceramic artist Randy Fein leads this creative journey into the world of clay. New and returning students are welcome to explore creating pottery and imaginative clay sculpture. Students will learn basic skills on the potter's wheel and how to hand-build unique clay serving-ware including: decorative platters, bowls, drinking vessels, and more. A variety of glaze techniques will be presented to complete your expressive clay works. Each class builds on the other, so it's advised to attend all classes. Course fee includes clay and glazes. Class skips 4/14. Instructor Randy Fein is an award-winning ceramic artist. She has found her way with clay for more than 40 years, producing original one-of-a-kind pottery, commissioned tile installations, and clay sculptures. She has conducted over 100 artist-in-resident programs in public schools throughout Maine and has taught at Unity College in Maine; Castleton State College in Vermont; and Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
