Come learn the basics of needle felting and make an adorable penguin approximately six inches tall that will stand on its own anywhere in your decor! This course is designed for beginners but those with needle felting experience are welcome. Fiber color options will be available to choose from your penguin's winter scarf and ear muffs. All materials will be provided. Materials fee of $15 is payable to the instructor at the beginning of the class—cash or check. Limit 10 students; ages 14+ welcome. Instructor Mary Sabins was born and raised in Maine, and lives in Union. Her interest in the hobby of needle felting began in 2016 when she took an Adult Education enrichment class at Camden Hills Regional High School to learn needle felting. She began teaching this felting craft to family and friends for fun and on a casual basis before retirement, and more regularly since then. Her student's response and enthusiasm for learning the needle felting craft inspires her to pursue teaching further.
