About this event
Kuksa is a type of drinking cup traditionally crafted by the Sami people of northern Scandinavia—perfect for tea or coffee. We will use either basswood or birch woods for the cup. We will also carve wooden spoons. We will have many various woods to choose and whittle. Designed for both beginners and skilled carvers alike. We will go through the various tools and carving techniques needed to make this cup and wooden spoon. NO REFUNDS UNLESS THE CLASS IS CANCELLED OR RESCHEDULED. Instructor Jessica Steele has a deep passion for the wilderness and for teaching. She has been working in the field of Adventure and Environmental Education for more than thirty years. This leg of her journey is about connecting more deeply with herself, others, and the wilderness. Join her for a program of connection, learning, and growing.
