This is a refresher/recertification course for the Basic Life Support program. Prior to class, participants MUST present a valid certification from one of the following entities: American Heart Association (AHA); American Red Cross (ARC); American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)—includes MEDIC First Aid; Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI); EMS Safety Services (EMSS); National Safety Council (NSC). Instructor Andrew Eckman recently retired after 45 years in emergency services (police, fire, EMS, emergency management, executive protection, and corporate security). He has been a medical instructor for more than 35 years and has trained several thousand participants in various life-saving skills.
