Equipment Required: AR15 or similar carbine w/ 3 magazines Sling – Tactical style – 2-point preferred (no hunting slings) Magazine pouches optional Dump pouch or Rollypoly recommended 300 rounds of ammunition Hearing and eye protection Closed toe shoes and pants with pockets Course Description: If you have no formal training with the AR15 platform, this is where the journey begins. The road to carbine mastery starts with a solid foundation. Many have no desire to go dynamic with their AR15 so we’ll keep it honest in this one-day class. You’ll get solid fundamentals to be able to employ your AR15 for fun or defense. We’ll work on shooting from prone to get your best zero. This is a class that anyone could attend and gain functional knowledge from. Topics include: Safety, Care & Maintenance Nomenclature, Characteristics & Accessories Carbine set-up Zero and consistency Essential fundamentals Efficient presentation Positional shooting Mechanical offset Safe motor programs for loading and making ready Safe motor programs for clearing Sling use Malfunction Clearance This course is limited to 16 students.
