This class is designed to teach beginning students about the exciting and wonderful world of animation and how animators bring their illustrations to life! Students learn about the fundamentals of animation developed by Disney animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, including staging, motion, acting, aesthetics, character development and more. This course focuses on common animation motions such as head turns, walking cycles, and throwing motions. In addition, students will also learn the history of animation as well as the process involved in creating a cartoon from start to finish. This course covers tips and tricks on how to improve drawing skills while nurturing creativity in storytelling. Virtual classroom information is provided after enrollment. See receipt for details.
