Description
We're sorry, but this program is over. The last meeting was Friday, September 29, 2023.
Mobility matting is an assistive device to allow those that need flatter surfaces (such as those using wheelchairs or strollers) to access off-trail areas and non-ADA accessible trails by placing flat mats on the ground. In February 2023, the District’s DEI committee purchased Access Trax, a type of portable mobility matting, to be used in our programs and special events. In this training, you will learn the protocols for assisting staff with set-up and tear-down of the Access Trax mobility matting for District events. Upon completion of the webinar, you will receive a certificate and be added to a list of trained volunteers to be contacted when the matting is requested for events.
After the webinar is completed, volunteers are encouraged to attend a field day when the matting is in use. Contact the Stewardship Ecologist for upcoming field day dates at jbero@mccdistrict.org.
Note: You must be a registered District volunteer to be eligible for this training.
Note: This is not a live event. You are signing up to be sent a recording of of the training. You will be required to pass a quiz to receive your certificate after viewing the recording.
