Mastering Middle School: Assessment Strategies & Executive Skills Academy is a dynamic afterschool enrichment program designed exclusively for 6th and 7th grade students. Offered in collaboration with Creating Understanding Tutoring Services, Inc. and led by our very own Mrs. Bridget Young, this course introduces students to the academic and organizational skills they need to excel in middle school and beyond. Throughout this six-week course, students will begin to develop essential executive functioning habits and learn practical and transferable test preparation strategies. This course lends students the opportunity to discover how to manage assignments, prepare for assessments, advocate for themselves, and build routines that foster greater independence and academic success. Through engaging activities, collaborative problem-solving, and real-world scenarios, students will practice skills they can also apply in their daily schoolwork. Whether your child wants to improve grades, strengthen study habits, or simply feel more organized and prepared, this class provides the foundation for lasting success in middle school and beyond. --Meeting dates are: Tuesdays: September 8, 15, 22, 29; October 6, 13.
