About this event
Description
Intro to LEGO Robotics / Advanced LEGO RoboticsThis program is designed for both returning LEGO robotics team members and students who are new to robotics. From now until the end of the month, participants will develop problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering skills through hands-on LEGO robotics activities.
Students with prior LEGO robotics experience will work on advanced concepts, including more complex programming, sensor use, strategy development, and robot design optimization. These sessions help experienced students deepen their skills and prepare for leadership roles on future teams.
New students will focus on the fundamentals of LEGO robotics, learning how to build stable robots, use basic programming blocks, and understand how challenges are solved in a team environment. The goal is to give new participants a strong foundation so they can confidently contribute to a team next season.
By the end of the program, all students will have gained practical robotics experience, improved problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of how LEGO robotics teams work.
In addition to regular sessions, students will take part in an in-house “Robo-Olympics” style event, featuring a variety of fun and challenging robotics tasks. These challenges may include obstacle courses, accuracy tests, speed challenges, and creative problem-solving missions, giving students a chance to apply their skills in a supportive and low-pressure competition environment.
• All materials are provided.• This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as experienced.• Instructors: Sela Bucovetsky
If you would like to register for one day only (Tuesday or Thursday), please call or visit the front desk.
Looking Ahead to the 2026/2027 LEGO Robotics Season
Next year, students will take part in a full LEGO robotics season.
Early in the season, teams receive a new challenge and begin designing, building, and programming their robots to complete a series of missions.
Teams refine their designs through testing and practice before attending competitions. Successful teams may advance to higher-level events, progressing from local competitions to regional and provincial championships.
Teams consist of 4-5 kids per robot.
