About this event

Description

Perfect for aspiring bakers, this hands-on class covers the essential techniques for creating beautifully finished cakes. Learn everything from preparing cake layers to achieving a smooth buttercream finish and elegant piping. You’ll leave with your own decorated 6” cake and the confidence to take your decorating skills to the next level. Cake layers will be pre-baked; we’ll make the buttercream in class.
All ingredients, aprons and equipment are included in the registration and materials fee. Just bring yourself and a to-go container for your creations! Recipes and equipment suggestions will be provided in class.

What can you expect from our class together?
  • The class is fully interactive, so feel free to ask questions as we go.
  • Great results go beyond the recipe. Learn the basics of cooking: mise en place, proper techniques, essential equipment, ingredients, and kitchen safety
  • Please tie back long hair; we'll cook and serve family-style at the end.
  • Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes as you will be standing & working in the kitchen.
  • Be prepared to work in teams of 2-4, depending on class size.
  • Alert your instructor to any food allergies BEFORE the day of class so we can plan accordingly.

Please email robin@thecakerobin.com if you have any questions as all ingredients may not be specified in menu titles. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class. thecakerobin.com
