Mini Break Day Camp: Tracks, Trails, & Tales

Wednesday, February 18
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Who’s out and about in the snow? Join us for a day of discovery as we explore the Tracks, Trails, & Tales hidden in the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary during Red Deer’s coldest month! We’ll follow animal tracks along snowy paths, uncover clues about which creatures are still active, and let nature spark our imaginations as we create and share our own winter-inspired stories. Specific activities will depend on outdoor conditions.
Children should dress for the weather including boots, snowpants, jacket, scarf, hat, and mittens/gloves. Please also bring a snack, lunch (no nuts!), water bottle, indoor shoes, and an extra pair of socks.
Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early dropoff and late pickup is not available. Doors will open at 8:50 a.m. and all campers must be picked up by 4:10 p.m.
This program takes place at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.
Ages 6–12.Limited spaces available.Earlybird rate in effect until January 30: $40/youth/day.Regular rate in effect January 31: $44/youth/day.Pre-registration required by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13.
