Join us in the Silver Spur gardens after school to learn how things grow, how to care for a garden, and how nature can improve our health. Students will enjoy a mix of hands-on gardening activities, learn about the environment and environmental stewardship, and try their hand at making healthy snacks. Farmer Candace comes from a long line of farmers and is the Silver Spur and VELA garden teacher. She has over 10 years of teaching experience, from youth through graduate students, and a background in maternal and child health and public health. She has a passion for bringing people of all ages outside to get their hands dirty and connect with nature. We’re excited to welcome Farmer Candace to PEF Enrichment this fall!
