Description

This two-day course provides fire mechanics and fire apparatus driver/operators with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to perform fire pump testing in accordance with current NFPA standards. Participants will explore pump theory, testing procedures, environmental considerations, and safety protocols. This course is an in-depth review of the requirements and procedures for the annual inspection, maintenance, and performance testing of fire pump systems on in-service emergency vehicles, as outlined in NFPA 1910, Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Refurbishment, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Emergency Vehicles and Marine Firefighting Vessels. The training combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice, preparing students to conduct compliant pump tests, documenting results, and identifying maintenance needs.
2-Day Course: $450.00
Each student shall provide proper PPE: i.e. Boots, gloves, helmet, hearing and eye protection are recommended. A handheld calculator is also recommended for this class.
