About this event
Description
Join park staff on May 30 at 10:00 am, to listen to the illustrated children’s book The Bad Seed by Jory John (author) and Pete Oswald (illustrator). Participants will enjoy a charming and endearing story about a "bad" seed, learning about the power of positive change, managing emotions, and embracing differences. For a reminder of these important lessons, each participant will plant a seed to take home with them! Free and open to all ages, but recommended for ages 3–10. Registration is required for all participants and children must have a supervising adult(s).The program will take place indoors in a climate-controlled building, followed by a quick tour of Oak View's gardens and a seed planting activity outdoors under a covered patio.
Upon arrival, participants should check in with park staff in the Farm History Center (our visitors center building). Please let us know in advance if you or anyone in your group requires accessibility modifications/ADA accommodations. As a courtesy to other participants, the waitlist and the instructor, if you find you have a change in plans and can no longer attend, please email oakview@wake.gov or call 919-250-1013.
