This class was especially created for Shannon. Please do not register if this class was not listed for you! This 4-week class meets three times to throw on the wheel, and one time for a glazing session. You'll start with the basics of wheel safety, and quickly take a deep-dive on your learning path with forming straight-sided cylinders. During this class, we'll cover the stages of clay, wedging, centering, pulling, finishing greenware, firing, and glazing. The first week of class includes instruction on our studio cleaning practices, as well as how to operate safely within our studio space. Students are expected to clean their stations each session before leaving on time. This class may include Open Studio time, dependent on instructor availability. Class includes all materials and consumable resources including clay, firing, and glazes. We provide throwing and trimming tools, but you can also bring your own.
