Northwest Maritime is excited to partner with Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) to offer this unique boatbuilding experience. Since 1994, CLC classes have helped launch more than a thousand boats and introduced countless people to the joys of building their own boats. In this six-week workshop, you’ll choose a project from CLC’s extensive catalog and work with our skilled professional instructors to build your boat from start to finish. You’ll have dedicated shop space, access to the tools and equipment you need, and expert guidance along the way, all in an open, supportive Boatshop environment. The six-week format gives you more time and flexibility than a typical class. Choose one/two two-week blocks or commit to the full six-week program, giving you the time and support to make meaningful progress on your build. Ready to choose your boat? Let the Registrar know which CLC kit you’ve selected when you register, and the kit will be added to your registration with a separate invoice.
