Do you love singing along to your favourite classic rock songs in the car or shower? Join us to sing great songs with a group!

Tri-Cities Rock! is a classic rock choir that rehearses and performs in and around the Tri-Cities. This spring, we'll be meeting at the Gathering Place in Port Coquitlam. Our fun and welcoming group includes singers at all levels, from people who have never sung in a choir before, to those who did it years ago, to those with some classical training. We focus on groove, feel, connection with each other, our audiences, and the songs. And FUN!

We choose sing-able songs from the classic rock era since those are songs a lot of us know already. We take a 'rock skillz' approach, learning songs the way rock musicians have always done it, starting with listening and singing along, and building parts and harmonies from there. The choir is led by professional musician and music director, Scott Gould.Scott will be bringing his Port Moody-based rock choir (Moody Rocks!) to Port Coquitlam for a free sing along concert in the Michael Wright Art Gallery on Saturday, March 28 at 7:30pm, doors open at 7:00pm. If you're curious about joining Tri-Cities Rock!, come to the concert to get a feel for the music and way the choir will be practicing and performing. Pre-registration is required.

A bit about choir director, Scott Gould: "I've been singing in choirs almost my whole life, staring when I was 5 or 6. I started playing guitar and bass and writing songs in garage bands when I was 15. I went to music school when I was 19 and am a graduate of the UBC School of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree (yikes it sounds so serious!), where I studied guitar, voice, composition, and choral conducting, completing a 5th year in advanced conducting after my degree. I've had a long career in another field, raised a family, etc. I'm increasingly active as a singer-songwriter, composer, conductor, and music director."
