The prep team is a 7 week program designed for athletes of varying abilities. This program is open to current YMCA members and community members that swim freestyle and backstroke, and also have an introductory knowledge of the breaststroke and butterfly. Whether athletes are looking to improve their stroke technique in order to join BlueWave or are looking to get a head start on training for their summer swim program, this program is for you. Practices will focus mainly on stroke mechanics and turns for all 4 strokes, starts, and will incorporate light conditioning, and of course include a little fun as well.
