Description

Kendo, the Japanese martial art of bamboo fencing, emphasizes patience, discipline, and respect. Practitioners wear traditional samurai attire and use shinai (bamboo swords) to strike specific areas, accompanied by a kiai (spirit shout). This youth class is suitable for all skill levels focusing on building a strong foundational technique.

Additional InformationA one-time $70 initial registration fee and $30 supply fee (for the shinai) is due to the instructor on the first day of class for new members. It is strongly recommended students 5-7 years old be accompanied by an adult in the class until the student is comfortable with practices independently.
