Midwest MedWAR
MedWAR is short for Medical Wilderness Adventure Race. It is a unique event that combines wilderness medical challenges with the growing sport of adventure racing. The race was also developed as a tool for teaching and testing the knowledge, skills, and techniques of wilderness medicine, and for promoting teamwork and collegiality among competitors. MedWAR is sanctioned by North American Educational Adventure Racing (NAEAR).

Teams: 30 teams of three (3) racers.
Registration includes:
- Canoe rental

Cancellation policy: Contact the race directors directly if your team or a team member is unable to make the event.
Other Details
We are trying to create a race so that all teams are spending the entire day out in the wilderness. The race will finish just at sunset so be prepared for darkness and the potential for getting lost. Dress appropriately. This race will occur no matter what the weather. Teams should expect to canoe, trek, climb, swim, and get lost at least once.
Racers are responsible for their own camping and parking.
