Description
This will be an introductory Vinyasa Flow class, where the emphasis is on improving cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength using a sequence of simple poses that are connected through the breathing cycle. Other names used for a similar yoga practice are "Power Yoga", "Flow Yoga", etc. Students are expected to have some exposer to yoga having gone through at least a few gentle yoga classes and have a desire to go to a slightly higher level to see more benefits of yoga practice. Advanced yoga practitioners are also welcome as I will teach multiple variations of the poses. The intention is to improve the physical aspects like posture, balance and agility while developing cognitive benefits like focus, calmness, and peace as byproducts.
Both men and women are encouraged to attend.
Yoga mats and props are provided by the community center.
The participants are expected to:
1. Be punctual. Arrive before class to pick the mat, find a place and settle.
2. Wear comfortable clothes
3. Don't eat heavy food at least 2 hours before the class.
*There will be no class on January 21st, January 28th, and February 4th, 2026.
Beginners as well as seasoned yoga practitioners are welcome.
It will be more suitable for ages 15 and above, with exceptions handled case by case.
