In just six years of existence, the GCU Men’s Lacrosse program has not only become one of the most competitive sports on the GCU campus but has become a perennial powerhouse in the world of college lacrosse at the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association Division I level. In the past six years, over 30 GCU players were named to the MCLA All-American teams. The Lopes won MCLA Division I national championships in 2015 and 2017 and claimed the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference titles in each of those seasons. GCU Men’s Lacrosse has full access to GCU’s Division I strength and conditioning facility, athletic training and film room. It shares a new state-of-the-art AstroFlect turf practice/game venue with women’s lacrosse and plays many of their games in the new 6,000-seat GCU Stadium.
