Description

Krav Maga is a reality-based self-defense discipline that uses the body's natural reaction to defend against a violent attack. This class is specifically for women and is an introduction to Krav Maga where students will learn the fundamentals of:

• Striking (starting with how to make a fist)
• How to move
• How to handle forward facing attacks such as a choke or a straight punch

Each one-hour class will start with a warmup such as shoulder touch, then striking. Following the warmup, students will learn a technique then finish with a summary drill.

This class is great for all women, whether they be:

• A parent wanting to protect themselves and their children.
• A student going off to college and wanting to feel more confident when venturing away from home.
• Someone with fitness goals that may prefer a more creative way to get in shape than a traditional gym.

This class is taught by certified Krav Maga instructor April Anderson and is recommended for females of all abilities ages 16 and older.

Please wear comfortable workout clothing.

$15 discount for a sibling or additional family member.

There is a $5 supply fee ($3 for additional family members) payable to the instructor at the first class. This fee will be used to sanitize shared equipment.

Meet Your Instructor April Anderson

April has been training in Krav Maga since 2022 and is currently ranked P-4 in the Krav Maga Global (KMG) curriculum of Krav Maga under lead Instructor Adam Mora.

In 2024 April decided to join the In Development Program (InDev) to learn how to be an instructor so that she could inspire others to learn how to become the best version of themselves.

April has a passion for spreading good Krav Maga in her community, and she does so by teaching the Fundamentals class at Krav Maga XD/SLO County in Atascadero, as well as leading the annual Women's Self Defense Seminar for XD/SLO County. She hopes programs like these will inspire women, young and old, to pursue a life rooted in bravery rather than perfection, and to encourage the next generation to feel confident in their own strength.
