A Fall from Royalty traces the Transatlantic Slave Trade back to the 1400s, when African kings and queens, betrayed and sold, are stripped of their crowns but not their humanity. Through a twist of time, one fallen king is thrust into the future, where he meets Eleonora, a woman living at the crossroads of ancestral trauma and modern resilience. Confronted with the consequences of his choices, he asks her to name her unborn son Congo, honoring the lost Kingdom of Kongo and reclaiming stolen pride.
In 1800vs2020, Eleonora returns as a blind, aging matriarch carrying generations of memory. Her blindness becomes both injury and symbol revealing how history fades, distorts, and is forgotten, even as its impact endures.
