Runners and walkers are invited to join us at one of our most popular 5K's of the summer on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., for the Annual Shark Week 5K walk/run at Wings Etc. 3419 Alt. US 19, Palm Harbor FL 34683. Our shark finisher's medals are the best every year and we know you'll be excited to earn yours at this great summer run
This event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and levels of ability and takes place entirely on the fully paved Pinellas trail in Palm Harbor from Wings Etc. in a route that is north out and back EASY PEASY! We are stroller friendly but please no pets for this venue.
Each registrant will receive one awesome finisher's medal, a promotional run shirt, an electronically timed and accurate distance 5K by RaceSplitter, as well as a free beer and food sampler at our post race trivia party hosted in the cool environment back at Wings Etc. after you complete your 5K.
These races sell out to 100 participants and the price increases with each 25 registrants in order to slow down registration. Therefore, we encourage you to register early. Your money is SAFE with Xanadu Races (XRM) because if you don't check in race day you instantly have a credit to use for any other same distance race on our event calendar.
In order to defer your entry, simply send an email to XanaduRaceManagement@gmail.com and we'll reply with the online transfer code which can be used 2 weeks prior to the next race you can attend. Note a small insurance fee of under $10 applies to each transfer.
An email will go out to all registrants by 4 pm the day before the race which will include your assignment bib number and waiver of release as well as all the information you need for parking and arrival. We make it easy and fun for all of you by using great communication so that you know what to expect so NEVER hesitate to text or email your questions. Running in local 5K events not only supports our local teen volunteers but it add inspiration to your own effort to keep yourselves in positive state of mind and body.
Everyone goes home with a finisher’s medal but XRM races do not specifically cater to a fast running crowd. We ask that you sign up if you are able to complete the 3/1 mile/5K distance in under 59 minutes. Times are purposely not posted at the venue in order to maintain this laid back group of both runners and walkers. We attract several states each race so the goal is always safety, fun, and community! We do bring top finisher framed awards to our first 15 males and first 15 females to cross the finish line because we know some of you have very ambitious goals and use these great local races to train for larger races both here in Tampa Bay as well as around the country. Remember to wear your RUN FLORIDA shirt from the race as each year we try to see JUST HOW FAR you travel with your accomplishment.

There is a no cancelation policy so if the race cannot be hosted due to extreme weather we always have a virtual run inside the restaurant with is A TON OF FUN. Should we encounter an act of God you will have a full credit to any other race hosted by XRM. We’ve got you!
