Demo 4 – Lettuce Whether its Romaine or Iceburg, lettuce presents an incredible challenge when working from life. We will discuss how to handle this moving target with regards to drawing, color and application. Each week, Dale will complete a four-hour still life painting from start to finish. The series will examine how to combine the right color, values, edges, and paint handling, (without second guessing), to accomplish the goal of completing an aesthetic, and naturalistic painting. There will be a strong focus on sound drawing, composition, and shape design. There will be a theme for each of the six weeks of this series. Artists are encouraged to participate in the theme and embrace the weekly idea, as simple, or as complex as they desire. Registrants may sign up for the full 6-week series or a la carte. They will receive a private link to the video and also receive a document link. that includes a list of the materials used in the demo and a form to submit to ask questions. Submitted questions and their answers will be updated on the document. The document may be downloaded by participants. View the full list of weekly topics on our website.
