Welcome to the home of the Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim, this coming year 2022 is a huge 20 year milestone for our event and also gives us an opportunity to raise awareness of the beaty and challenge of open Water Swimming here in the Caribbean and in particular to our sister islands of St Kitts & Nevis.
Next year marks 51 years since the 'Christena' maritime disaster that claimed almost 300lives, largely due to the fact that most people could not swim, to honor and remember those lost lives we will continue to strive to build a swimming pool and to develop swimming both as a lifesaver and as a sport for all.
Two years ago we launched our Gifting Goggles' initiative, encouraging visiting swimmers to donate their used goggles to our burgeoning youth swimming program, we will continue this drive and appreciate any such contributions.
The swim will be in its 20th year in 2022 and we want to make sure that your experience here will not be easily forgotten, we look forward to welcoming you all to our Caribbean shores and to the 'Narrows' bewteen our two beautiful islands.
