Description
Today, Oswego knows Saw Wee Kee and Waa Kee Sha as two of its premier parks—the former nestled along the Fox River and offering extensive hiking and biking trails, and the latter featuring a wide range of outdoor adventures. But Saw Wee Kee, Waa Kee Sha, and their surrounding areas have long been more than just recreation sites since well before American settlers first arrived. Whether you couldn’t join us for last year’s history hikes, want to learn about both parks’ rich pasts, are looking for tips and points of interest for the upcoming season, or simply enjoy history without the hiking, join us at the Little White School Museum for a fascinating history lecture exploring the stories behind these beloved parks.
