Morris Dancing - In Person - 8 Weeks Morris dancing is a traditional dance from England. It has a long history in New England and in Maine. Morris dancing is a group dance with teams of six or eight. You will learn the steps, figures, tunes and choruses using costumes, bells, sticks and handkerchiefs. The course will teach examples of two traditions, Cotswold and Border, one dance of each. If there are people interested in playing the tunes, music will be provided, they are in the key of G. Course materials will be distributed on the first night. (must have at least 8 participants)?
