About this event
Paid Educator Externship Opportunity • Participate alongside students as an active learner in this immersive camp experience • Observe technical and employability skill development through an educator lens • Engage in embedded professional learning focused on Project-Based Learning design • Earn a $150/day stipend and SCECHs upon completion of externship requirements Farm to Future Camp Experience Dig into the future of agriculture as participants explore modern farming practices, food systems, plant science, sustainability, and agricultural technology. Through interactive activities, site visits, and hands-on experiences, campers will discover how science, innovation, and stewardship are shaping the next generation of agricultural careers. Educator Career Connection In addition to participating in all student camp experiences and employer visits, educators will engage in a specialized Project-Based Learning Academy led by our science consultant, Linnea Gibson. Through this embedded training, participants will explore high-impact PBL frameworks, learn practical project-based instructional strategies, and develop an authentic classroom lesson or unit connected to agriculture, sustainability, or community-based problem solving. No prior agriculture or Project-Based Learning experience is required—only a willingness to participate, collaborate, and explore real-world applications. Educator Externship Registration Guidelines To ensure equitable access across the region, educators are asked to limit initial registration to two externship opportunities during the first two weeks of enrollment. Remaining openings will then be available for additional registrations.
