Description
You'll learn some of the core components needed to play the blues chord progressions and songs on the ukulele, including blues scales, blues chords, riffs and licks and turnarounds. Then you'll apply them as you play through some classic blues tunes on the uke including “Got My Mojo Working,” “Hoochie Coochie Man,” “Sweet Home Chicago,” “The Thrill Is Gone” and quite a few more. Pre-requisite: Yes, You Can Play the Ukulele, Part 1 (or a similar intro class) or be self-taught and be able to play at least 7 basic uke chords and transition between them. Bring you soprano, concert, or tenor uke (No baritone ukes, please!) a pick, and a uke capo to class. And if you have a portable music stand or book holder, bring that, too. No loaner instruments are available. Instructor: Jeff Saxon
