Gardening can make a positive impact on our health and wellness in multiple ways. However some feel they do not have the space or resources to benefit. This hands-on workshop is designed for anyone who wants to grow plants, herbs, or vegetables but has limited space. Whether you’re working with a balcony, patio, windowsill, or small backyard, you’ll learn practical strategies to create a healthy, productive garden in compact areas. The workshop will start will discussion on how gardening supports our overall physical and mental wellness. Participants will explore container gardening, vertical growing techniques, and smart plant selection, with an emphasis on sustainability and low maintenance. By the end of the workshop, you’ll understand how to maximize sunlight, choose the right soil and containers, manage watering efficiently, and keep plants thriving in tight spaces. The session combines clear instruction with real-life examples, making it beginner-friendly. All participants will leave the workshop with a few starter plants to get them a jump start on their gardening efforts. Instructor Jennifer Hurst.
