Begin your day with intention on a mindful morning paddle on the South Salish Sea. We’ll gather at the ONE Center to enjoy coffee/tea, taking a few quiet moments to arrive, connect, and set an intention before heading to the Cove. Our mindfulness trained guides will invite you to practice non-striving on the water and develop beginner’s mind, as we paddle into the morning light. The pace will be gentle and spacious, inviting awareness of breath, movement, and the natural rhythm of the sea. You’ll be guided to notice the subtle details of the coast—ripples on the water, birdsong, shifting light, and the steady cadence of your paddle. A meditative paddle provides endless opportunities to pause, float, and simply allow the medicine of calm waters to settle one’s nerves. This experience is as much about mindfulness as it is about connecting with others and fill one’s heart with Joy. We’ll paddle together in a supportive, welcoming group, creating space for quiet reflection as well as warm conversation and connection with the human and more than human world too. No prior mindfulness or kayaking experience required, just a willingness to slow down and share the morning together. Thorough instruction focused on safety and all necessary equipment provided.
